South End RC hosts tournament

South End Racquet and Health Club in Torrance hosted a 1 day invitational squash tournament on Saturday, November 20th, its first event in over 5 years. 12 players participated coming from as far away as Arizona and included nationalities representing India, Korea, Italy, Russia, France, England, Sierra Leone and the US. Pavel Smirnov beat John Fox in the A draw and Andy Shuler beat Dave Tawfik in the B draw. South End RC plans to host another tournament in early ‘22 with a potentially larger draw played over 2 days.
