Shot guide
Hold the arrow keys while you hit with Z (hard) or X (soft). “Toward the wall” means the side wall nearest the ball; “toward the middle” means across the court.
Straight driveZ, no arrow. Low and hard along the wall to the back corner.
Cross-court driveZ + arrow toward the middle. Hits the front wall mid-court and crosses to the far side.
Deep driveZ + Down. Hits higher on the front wall and travels to the back.
BoastZ + arrow toward the wall. Side wall first, then the front wall.
VolleyHit any shot before the ball bounces. Cuts off the rally and gives your opponent less time.
LobX, no arrow. High and slow to the back, buying you time to recover.
Cross-court lobX + arrow toward the middle. A high ball to the far back corner.
Soft boastX + arrow toward the wall. A slow side-wall-first shot.
Drop shotX + Up. A gentle shot that dies near the front wall.
Cross-court dropX + Up + arrow toward the middle. Drops short on the far side.
Cross-court nickVolley only: Z + Up + arrow toward the middle, before the ball bounces. Aims at the far floor-and-wall corner. If it lands in the nick it dies and rolls, but it often hits the tin. After a bounce it plays as a normal cross-court drive.
ServeZ hard or X lob. One foot in the box, above the service line, landing behind the short line in the opposite quarter court.
